The program was anchored by Anuranan Gogoi (class V) and addresses with a speech on the importance of the day by Divas Gogoi (class IV). On the birthday of Lord Krishna, Krishna bhajan was presented by the students. A wonderful speech was delivered by Achyut Sir where he told about an incident in Lord Krishna's life. All the students enjoyed the story. The programme ended with Prasad distribution and Shantipath. After which the students of different classes participated in different competitions. Classes KG to I had 'Go As you Like' competition wherein they were asked to come as any character from Krishna Leela. Similarly classes II and III were asked to come as any character.
Raksha Bandhan Celebration
Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. To strengthen this bond and to understand the true essence of this festival Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya celebrated Raksha Bandhan by asking students to make handmade rakhis. Students of all classes made colourful rakhis which they tied to the students of school on Raksha Bandhan upon chanting of a ‘Raksha sutra mantra’. They used decorative threads, stars, mirrors, pearls and flowers for making these rakhis.
